Canadian Foodies in 2008

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Hello everyone!
Thanks for visiting. To any of my old regulars, thanks for checking back.
We’ve been a little quiet around here over the past 6 months or so… what can I say :)
I’ve been hibernating through the long Canadian Winter!
Actually we’ve been really busy with other ventures… a new baby in January (our second daughter!), a [...]

The new and improved ScribeFire

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

I love Firefox.
I have plenty of other browsers installed, some are good, some less so… but I’ve never found anything to coax me away from Firefox.
Believe or not though, this post isn’t about why I love firefox, but rather it’s addon capabilities.
There are a lot of smart folks who have produced a lot of smart [...]

On another note…

I read an interesting article on China today that claimed two intriguing things (neither of which I’ve spent the time to try and validate… but they sound good!):

Firefox is the #1 Browser

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

I was just glancing through some of the analytics for this domain (MichaelValiant.com) and noticed that Firefox has taken over as the number one browser being used by visitors.

That being said, I met Matt last [...]

The Dao of Twitter

Monday, April 14th, 2008

I almost titled this post: “How I hate Mondays” but Twitter came to my rescue and what started as an idle search actually ended up making me feel a little better about the beginning of the week!
This all started off with a headache on a Monday morning… here’s a personal confession for you: I [...]

Observations of a New(ish) Parent # 228

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

It really is amazing how many common and even household words SOUND like cursing when coming from the mouth of a 1 or 2 year old.

60 days of silence

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Wow! it’s actually been 2 months since my last post… (last post on this blog anyway)
What happened? well, 2 days after my last post my wife gave birth to our third child (3 in under 3 years!), work has been crazy, oh, and we had a flood and lost almost everything in our [...]
